Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

1.1 These Booking Terms apply to all bookings made with Sporting Detours, a trading name of Letz Travel Pty Ltd (ABN [insert ABN]).

1.2 By making a booking you agree to be bound by these terms.

1.3 Sporting Detours is covered by [TCF / IATA / consumer protection scheme — verify and complete].

2. Bookings and payment

2.1 Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

2.2 Prices are quoted in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST where applicable.

2.3 Tax invoices are issued by Letz Travel Pty Ltd at the time of booking.

2.4 Bookings are confirmed only when payment has been successfully processed and you have received a booking confirmation email with a Sporting Detours booking reference number.

3. What's included

3.1 Inclusions are detailed on each package page and confirmation email. Items not listed are not included.

3.2 Flights are not included in any package unless explicitly stated.

3.3 Travel insurance is not included and is the responsibility of the customer (see clause 8).

4. Cancellation by the customer

4.1 If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify Sporting Detours in writing at hello@sportingdetours.com.au.

4.2 The following refund schedule applies based on the cancellation date relative to the event start date: (a) More than 60 days before event start: full refund less $95 administration fee. (b) 60 days or less before event start: no refund.

4.3 Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

4.4 Name changes may be permitted at Sporting Detours' discretion. A change fee may apply. Contact us at least 14 days before the event.

5. Cancellation by Sporting Detours

5.1 If Sporting Detours cancels a package due to circumstances within our control (such as supplier failure, insufficient bookings, or operational reasons), you will receive a full refund.

5.2 If a package is cancelled due to circumstances outside our control (force majeure, including but not limited to event cancellation by the rights holder, venue closure, government restrictions, natural disasters, pandemic), refunds are subject to recovery of funds from underlying suppliers and may not be in full.

5.3 Sporting Detours' liability in any cancellation scenario is limited to the amount paid by you for the affected package.

6. Changes to packages

6.1 Sporting Detours reserves the right to make minor changes to package inclusions where necessary, including substitution of equivalent or higher-grade accommodation, transport, or experiences.

6.2 If a major change is required (e.g. event date changes, primary fixture substituted), you will be offered the choice between accepting the change, transferring to an alternative package, or receiving a refund.

7. Customer responsibilities

7.1 You are responsible for ensuring you hold valid identification, visas (if applicable), and meet any health requirements for travel.

7.2 You must arrive at scheduled events and transfers on time. No refund applies for missed services due to late arrival.

7.3 You are responsible for the conduct of all members of your party. Sporting Detours and venue partners reserve the right to refuse entry or remove guests for disruptive behaviour without refund.

8. Travel insurance

8.1 Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all bookings.

8.2 You are responsible for arranging your own travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical emergencies, lost belongings, and other risks.

8.3 Sporting Detours does not provide travel insurance and is not liable for any losses that would have been covered by appropriate travel insurance.

9. Limitation of liability

9.1 Sporting Detours acts as an agent for venues, accommodation providers, transport providers, and other suppliers.

9.2 Sporting Detours is not liable for the acts, omissions, defaults, or negligence of independent suppliers.

9.3 To the extent permitted by law, Sporting Detours' total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the affected booking.

9.4 Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Privacy

10.1 Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

11.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

11.2 Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
